Don't know exactly where to put this so feel free to move it if necessary.
Ok, so I've been trying for hours to run my site off my computer again ... no luck. I've made it all in frontpage, selected everything fine in IIS, have run the no-ip updater tons of times ... and nothing. I don't get it. I used to run a site perfectly fine and now I can't start one again. the address is http://www.entropy.serveftp.com (no, it isn't an ftp, but that IS nice for when I do turn on my ftp, which it isn't right now). my router's firewall is configured to allow port 80, as is IIS. Is there something I'm missing? It's really starting to get on my nerves that it just won't work :banghead: :banghead:

Perhaps your provider is blocking outbound port 80 to prevent people from hosting web sites?

Could be, but they'd have to be durn quick about it, because right after I took down my old site, a week or so later I couldn't get this to start ... I think i'm missing something but I just can't figure out what

Hm, i turned off Virtual SMTP server, and now i can browse the main page in IIS, and http://localhost, just not using my url.
edit: yep, the hell with that. now that doesn't seem to be working, either :mean: :banghead:

MAN i'm an IDIOT. so is dlink. you need to make an applications entry in order for it work ... can't just use the preconfigured rule they have that you can supposedly just check. losers. :p
