Wireless streaming from server - ghz?

Alrighty, I've built and installed this spare parts pc to use for movies from my fileserver. It's wireless, it works fine and all is good in the world.

...so I want to start rearranging.

(sigh)

If used solely for 2 purposes - streaming video to the tv wirelessly from the fileserver and folding, would a p3-700 w/512m ram be enough machine?

I might even go retro w/win 2k as the os just to cut some of the resource hogging xp features.

Thanks.

Fold on.

Should be. A p3 700 is plenty for playing Divx/Xvid, which is probably the most potent thing you'll be doing with it.

I'm getting by with only 384mb of pc100 in my livingroom rig, so your 512 should do nicely.
