The DVD Forum, the official body concerned with the standardization and development of DVD technology, has approved DualDisc for use. A DualDisc, also known as a "flipper," is a disc with DVD capabilities on one side (including video, enhanced audio, 5.1 surround sound, etc.) and CD capabilities on the other (16-bit digital audio at 44.1KHz).
