AMD has released the Q2 2003 earnings report

AMD (NYSE:AMD) today reported sales of $645 million and a net loss of $140 million for the quarter ended June 29, 2003. The net loss amounted to $0.40 per share. Second quarter sales increased by seven percent from the second quarter of 2002 and decreased by 10 percent from the first quarter of 2003. In the second quarter of 2002, AMD reported total sales of $600 million and a net loss of $185 million, or $0.54 per share. In the first quarter of 2003, AMD reported sales of $715 million and a net loss of $146 million, or $0.42 per share.

So things look a bit better than a year ago, but still AMD is losing money. It will be interesting to hear how Opteron has done in the conference call.

Revenue was $30 million higher than their revised estimates.

AMD is Doomed! You can't keep losing money quarter after quarter.

Stock up on those $50-100 CPUs, they might not be around much longer......
