The Mozilla Foundation have released a new version of their popular web browser.
The 1.7 branch will replace the 1.4 branch as the stable development baseline, with Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird releases and the next major version of Netscape expected to be built from it. More information about Mozilla 1.7 can be found in the Mozill 1.7 Release Notes and downloads are available from the Releases page or the mozilla1.7 directory on ftp.mozilla.org."

And IMHO, 1.7 Final is quite decent if you need a Linux Browser\email client all-in-one. Do not have it on Windows yet to test.

It grabbed all my old user settings and data on install in Linux, from an earlier Mozilla (Mozilla 1.7 RC2) and linked to them properly, for the first time all email accounts, passwords, and local folders carried forward automatically with zero clicking on my part. My bookmarks were automatically imported also. Faster at surfing and email than Mozilla 1.6 tree was, definitely, here, on broadband.

Its very good on windows as well. Rendering speed is comparable to firefox. Those who switched should really give Mozilla another shot, its got some nice features and its still pretty light.
