my machine runs slower then a snail on a piece of sand paper

I have a laptop that i relly dont want to reformat and reinstall all my apps on a again but i for some reason it is running so slow. I run sophos AV software.

I ran Hijack this and was wondering if any of you gurus would be able to help tell me what should not be their .

I don't see any malware in there. I also see that you're running pestpatrol (this is good ). I also reccomend that you run adaware and spybot S&D. Instructions for updating and running them can be found here:

Now, slowness can be caused by many other things as well. Could you post some of the specs of the laptop?

Processor speed, amount of memory, and amount of free hard disk space will be most helpful.

First, move hijackthis.exe to a directory on your c:\ drive, c:\hijackthis, for example
In addition, these can be removed to free up some memory:
