How warm should a 9800 Pro get???
I recently scarffed a 9800 Pro and it has benn running for the past week with no problems with the CAT 3.7's that I am using for reference to further testing. It will score over 6000 in 3DMark03 and over 40,000 in Aquamark3D (same drivers).
The thing I am wondering about is that the card feels very warm all over and I don't recall how warm my previous 9800 Pro got. It is probably nothing but I wanted to check and see if there was a potential problem.
TIA
Larry

I'm sure you have the gpu watercooled larry but you may want to consider some ram sinks perhaps ...just a thought. These will probably be the ones I get when I go wc http://www.svc.com/cobgarachhe.html as ramsinks for video.
Are you oc'ing the 9800pro and how much.
Also ...you didnt get the 128 bit card did you?
Thanks, that's what I was hoping to hear. As for not being the 128 bit card.....I know I wouldn't have scored what I did @ stock speed with one of those. I guess I am just being a little more cautious these days.

WOW!!! :wow:
Now that's hot. It looks like a good reason to do further modding of my W/C (move the rad to the outside rear of the case and yes I am going to cut the front bezel of my nice new case. Then with some of those ramsinks Chris found at Newegg I will turn this thing up.
I'm going to get some of those myself. They look cool!
BTW
I got the card used. I traded my 9600 Pro and a Seagate 40 gig HD for it.
