Username/Password Prompt

I always get prompted for a Username and Password when I try to connect to other computers from my computer which is connected to a wireless signal. Which username and password am I supposed to put in?

    you can try "Guest"

    If that doesn't work, you need to go to the computer that you are sharing the files from, and set up the guest account.

    If you have XP, it's in the "User accounts" part of the control panel

    Turn on Simple File Sharing and enable guest user like the post prior said. I find it easiest to make the guest PW the same on all the machines to allow authentication to pass through.

    Simple file sharing - my comp, tools, folder options, view (tab), pull white box all the way down, last option - Simple files sharing...all the networked computers should match, if its on, on one , then make sure its on on the other, if its off then make sure its off on the others as well.
