Refurbished OpenOffice gets release

OpenOffice.org has released an updated version of its open-source productivity package. Primary improvements in version 1.1.2 of the software include multiple bug fixes and the addition of FontOOo Autopilot, an automated tool for downloading and installing new fonts.

    Very sweet. The combination of this software and various distributions of linux really put a damper on microsoft's parade. It's becoming more and more of a viable alternative.

    It rocks. I've been using it for months, and it made me realize one thing: THere is no need whatsoever for Microsoft office, excepting Outlook 2003 (the junk mail filter works really well).
