Surround Sound for Xbox

I am interested in getting a 5.1 surround sound system for my Xbox but all of the setups I have looked at are either for PC or have reviews that are full of praise and full of hate. I was wondering if any of you guys have an old one you would consider selling me or if you know of a good system that would work for the Xbox.

I've nothing to offer in the way of satisfying your request, however I would like to say that it's good to see you around. :)

Thank you very much Thrax. I think you would like to know that I still follow the way of the light side. I am still an AMD believer.

If Star Wars taught us anything, it's that the Light Side always wins.

Sorry for crapping up your thread.

go big. get yourself a real receiver, spend like 200-300 on it, and then get yourself five matched speakers (all five are the same) along with an active subwoofer. I always play my xbox on my home theater, until my wife complains :D

That sound like a good idea, jsut one problem. I don't have that kind of money to spend. Oh I wish. I am just looking for something in the 100$ range. Also, I don't need my mom poking in my room yelling at me to turn it down. Of course my response would be to yell at her," Why the hell did you put me in the basement then?!"

Logitech Z-680s. Go buy yourself a set and then get a HD kit for the XBox. Hook it up with optical cables. ONLY problem is that the Logitech systems are a bit bassy, but thats it.

For $250 I'd say get a full home theater system...not only can you use it for you Xbox, but you can use it for your TV, computer, cd player, etc. And then you have a full system if/when you decide to upgrade later down the road, instead of just a speaker set.
