Why don't you give us some specifics on your setup? What mobo, ram, hsf, etc. and maybe we'll be able to help out. :) Is this the same chip you just posted about a few days ago, by any chance?

Well Pc2100 is rated at 133 so thats a nice overclock. I know my stick of PC2100 wont go over 156Mhz.

    Not PC2100, Athlon XP 2100.

    What stepping is the Athlon?

Thrax, if it's the same proc as in this thread he posted a few days ago, it is a Tbred B, axda2100dut3c 9726782380322 jiuhb0308vpmw.

Oh, it's a DUT3C JIUHB. No one ever really got more than 2.35GHz out of one.

You're lucky it does 2.18. Most never went higher than 2.2 on air, and DUT3C chips have been around since Icrontic fell.

The good JIUHB chips (Like mine! 2.42GHz) were DLT3C.

UH Thrax, it's a XP2100, which as far as I know, were only manufactured with a 1.60v vcore in Tbred B. The 2100 I have is an AIUHB DUT3C which would do around 2350 in a single proc board. They didn't produce any 1.5v 2100's that I know of.

Was the code you gave me from that thread.

And you're right, they never did produce 1.5v 2100s, but that doesn't change the fact that JIUHB + DUT3C is notoriously bad. ;D

    True, true! ;D

Ahh yes I remember him talking about the 2100+ now.

I didnt know they made JIUHBs at 2100+ speeds. I thought they were AIUHBs when they got to 2100+ speeds. Thats my 2 are.

i have an abit nf7s v2.0, a gig of kingston hyperx pc3200, its water cooled so its never gets over 35* and my case is constant 22*. and ya its the same chip i was having trouble with earlier.

It might just be a weak-kneed chip then. Since you are watercooled, try bumping up vcore to 1.9-2.0v at this same speed and see if it stabilizes. If it does, then you just have a weak overclocking 2100. I doubt that it is the cause, but you might try running memtest86 at this bus speed to just check the memory but I sincerely doubt that it's the problem at such a low bus speed and your ram being HyperX PC3200.

It is possible the memory is mis labeled like this. But I doubt it. You can use CPU-Z and check in the memory tab like in the thread I linked to.

ok ill try upping the voltage again. i looked at cpuz and check the memory and it was fine but i noticed that the 2 256 sticks of hyperx ive had for a wile are pc3500, i guess the compony sent me the wrong item, that shouldnt mess anything up, havine 512 of pc3200 and 512 of 3500, would it?

It might, but with high quality modules, it's more rare.
