Hard drive supplier Maxtor has announced the MaXLine III hard drive. The high-capacity, native SATA drive is the third generation of the MAXLine technology. The MAXLine III drive is on the market to meet the needs of the midline market, where capacity and reliability are what counts, according to a Maxtor spokesperson.
"These days, everyone's being asked to do more with less," said Paula Swanson, product marketing manager at Maxtor. "We're creating and retaining more and more information, and more content-rich information, and therefore consuming more and more storage. This product release is really about high-capacity, native SATA, SATA II features, and high reliability."
