Sony hopes to set history with Walkman, again

Sony has announced the plan to launch a new version of the Walkman (NW-HD1) in a rivalry against Apple's iPod.
"I don't know if we can take this market back in a year ... But this launch is our message that we will work hard to put an end to the dominance by just one company," Ando said.

    If they can stick a DAB radio on it, 15 - 30GB and make it the size of a cigerette packet I have two!

    i guess i never really noticed that sony was suddenly not a player in the portable music market anymore. well more power to 'em, i'm all for competition
