NOVELL free up their Evolution Connector for Microsoft Exchange
Shorty

One of the potentially biggest stumbling blocks for testing and deploying Linux desktops in the enterprise is the ability for an email client that can work with Microsoft Exchange. Many Linux users have long used the excellent Evolution email application but the lack of Exchange support is a stumbling block (unless you wanted to pay for the Evolution connector for Exchange).
Until now..
Earlier this year, Novell bought Ximian (the creators of Evolution and associated products) and with that released the Evolution Connector for MS Exchange into the free domain. You can even grab the source code if you wish to hack about with it.
Editors Commentary:
As an enterprise admin, Id personally love to be able to do away with several office machines that are glorified "email" boxes. Now that this connector is free, one of the last hurdles for me is gone. Nice work Novell, nice work. :

Also, you might Google 'Windows +Services +for +Unix' (for the server side, if you do still have client systems and Linux servers totally....). There is some surprisingly quietly done stuff out there on the server side, also-- partially in progress, some components out of early beta and into late beta. Exchange running on Linux, anyone???
