my new card came in. It has a 3 pin header for the fan on this card so I'll plug your old arctic cooler 3 into the nb header and give it a shot ...prolly after I lap it.

i got a 9800xt about 2 months ago, used but basically new for 310 shipped lol. works great, beautiful game performance...definately buy one for this price. i recommend that you position a fan to blow on the heatsink portion that is on the back of the card, as it gets incredibly hot. (this is expected though, read some reviews)

one question though, if i right click the desktop and navigate to settings-advanced (where it shows all the ati tabs) there is a tab called smartgart and it says my agp is at 0. I've tried turning it up to 8x, but it says my pc needs to reboot and test the new settings to ensure safety and stability, i click okay, it reboots, and nothing special happens. when i go back to this tab it is back at 0x again! wtf lol! shouldn't this be at 8x ??

    thanks!

Why get a 9800XT when you could have an X800 Pro for around the same price?

Many members here have had good buys from newegg's refurb section. Refurb doesnt mean it doesnt work. So someone else wanted a better card so they sent it back.

I bought an OEM card and the only thing else I got besides the card was Driver CD which is way outdated so no one is going to use the CD anyway. And sometimes it may come with all the goodies.
