Can't update Notepad pages!

i'm currently dealing with the about:blank spyware. I went into my folders today to update my website pages, and the new changes won't show up! I've done it a half dozen times, including restarting the computer, but the new changes won't take effect! What can I do?

It's an XP Home system. Could something have been altered?

Damn spyware!

    Did you run Adaware and Spybot S&D?

    Please post a Hijack This log and maybe we can help you get rid of that problem.

    I have those in the Spyware section.

    I got it to work by File << Save As-ing the file each time I changed it. Intead of just File << Save-ing it.

    This damn spyware is annoying me!

    Spyware can just be as bad as viruses...I hate em. :banghead:
