Everytime I run spybot DSA eploit shows up as a virus can anyone help get rid of it?

I have tried so many things in order to get rid of this DSA exploit thing. My computer is acting horrible. I ran adware and spybot 10-20 times but everytime it says it fixes the problem it comes right back. :banghead: Can anyone help?

Run it from safe mode. I also run Norton Antivirus 2k4. That will sometimes find some things that adaware and spybot miss. Again, from safe mode.

I've tried running it from safe mode too but it's doesn't seem to make a difference. Someone suggested i just erase the hard drive and start over? is that a bad idea?

Try disabling system restore and give it another go. :)

I tried enabling system restore and then running it but it didn't work. Do you have any other suggestions?

Did you mean disabling? Just checking. :)

Download HijackThis and post the log here.

What antivirus are you running? Latest updates?
If you need something new try AVG. The free version isn't bad.

Yes I did mean disable, sorry. Would reformatting my hard drive help out at all? Something is not right with this computer. Now when i click on a link in my email explorer just opens a blank page.

I am using McAfee right now. I had AVG but I reinstalled McAfee and it said to remove it ASAP.

You have the classic symptoms of a spyware infestation. Unless you are itching to format your drive anyway, you can almost certainly solve your problem by following this guide.

Running HijackThis and posting your log here will help get the ball rolling. :)

    Hey guys

    Just saw this thread.

The DSA exploit thing in spybot is a bug. It fixes it incorrectly so it shows right back up. You need to either check ignore or do some manual registry editing to fix it. I fixed mine a long time ago and they never did fix it in the updates.

Here's a link to the thread in their forums:

    Hope it helps
