Shrink a video file

I have some launch footage on video tape. I captured it as Mpeg2 and burned it to DVD. Even got six items on DVD and put on menu's and all.

Now the guys in the Pershing Professionals Group want me to send them a copy so they can preview it. Problem is it must be very small. 1 mb or so. I have managed to get it down to about 6 mb by cutting size, dropping audio, lowering frames and bitrate. Converted it to .wmv. I used virtualdub to reduce it.

Is there any better way to do this that I might get it smaller? It started out over 800mb so I guess I shouldn't really complain about 6 mb :)

Since this is my first shot at this I would enjoy some input from you Pro's

    1mb from 800mb?

It's going to look like swirling sandpaper when it's done...

    How long is the video?

It runs about 18 minutes right now.

Actually the 6 Mb still looks pretty good. It is pretty small though. I think its at 180x120 or some such number.

I think I'm gonna have to go to splitting it down into parts as the only way to get it small enough.

Or someone could give me the url of a free or cheap hosting site that can hold a good sized set of files. :eek2:

According to XViD, it'd be 1kb/s for video.. 800 times less than a video that's just below DVD quality.

180x120? Might as well be an avatar.
