The Inquirer has a report looking at Nvidia's latest GPU, the NV40. Apparently, the NV40 will be PCI Express based, with possibly some sort of adapter or bridge to allow it work on current AGP based boards. Other apparent FAQ's stated are that the chip will still be based on a 0.13 micron architecture, and it is also expected to stick with the current memory standard DDR II, at least initially.
Performance wise, it's easy to assume that it will be faster than FX 5900 Ultra as it has to be. Historically, each generation of Nzilla chips is around 30 per cent faster - no more, and with two versions which the boys prefer to call Ultra and Non Ultra rather than Faster and Slower.
