pop-ups

For the last few weeks I have been receiving unwanted advertising pop-ups.
I'm running Avast antivirus software and I use Spybot 1.3. Nothing is detected. I ran msconfig and under startup was automove.exe which I hadn't noticed before. I'm not sure if I can delete this, I think it is this which may
be causing problems. Please help.
