One week after announcing that it had snapped up Picasa, Google is promoting the acquired company on its home page, encouraging users to "download Picasa from Google" for free.
On Tuesday, Google's home page was offering downloads of the Picasa version 1.6 software, which allows users to transfer, organize, edit, print, and share digital photos.

Well, i just did a complete system scan with AdAware and Spybot S&D and nothing came up.

i think those are just rumors, besides i dont think spyware bundled with googles software would look good.

Google wouldn't smudge it's good name with spyware. One day, perhaps people will stop trying to find conspiracy in the good things Google is doing for the internet.
