Problem with Trojan .dll virus (similar to Jayhawk)

edited September 2004 in Spyware & Virus Removal
Hello all. First time post here so bear with me. I have a Trojan virus on my PC, and I can't seem to get rid of it. I have run Norton, SpyBot, and Ad-aware to no avail. Norton detects the malicious file as ctlh.dll in my system32 folder. I was able to get rid of one of them (kcjjfa.dll) by running in safe mode, but ctlh.dll is not found in safe mode. Here is my HJT log. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Follow Jayhawk's thread closely, as I am working on this same piece of crap with him. He's gonna post some registry entries tonight and we'll see if I can't get to the bottom of it.

This must be something new, as none of the anti-spyware programs are catching it yet.

I found this page after typing ctlh.dll on google.com. This is the only link that was found. I am having the same problem as hines86. Any solutions yet?

A primesuspect suggested, you should look at jayhawk's thread who had a very similar problem as hines86. If this doesn't help, then start a new thread in this forums and the SVT Team will help you as well :)

:celebrate If you want to remove this Trojan go to this page http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/tools.list.html and download the Removal Tools Backdoor.Agent.B then run it.
    Bye Bye
