At first I wondered why you were posting a photo of your recent remodeling in 'Digital Media.' And then, "oh!"

    excellent rendering

something about the heights bothers me. i cant seem to pinpoint it though, its either the chairs, or the rear counter, or the lower shelf on the right...

It DOES look great, but I'm going to have to agree with TheBaron. The little setup in the back. The cabinets look like they're rather large in comparison to the rest of it. Now, I had to stare to see this.

And, since there's NO way I could do this, I think it looks great. Hopefully you take it as a constructive criticism, rather than a derogatory comment. Because, really, "Wow!" :)

Don't think that way, the best method of getting ideas, fixes, etc.. is from those who pick out these subtle details. Otherwise they never get fixed ;) Now that you guys pointed it out though, it does seem that table is like a childs table or something, chairs included... kinda small, but looks soo damned good.

Hehe. I just wanted to make it clear that I wasn't being derogatory. It does look good, though. :)

I'm pretty sure (correct me if I'm wrong, nomad) that he didn't design the layout, just rendered it for his client..... So those criticisms don't really apply to him, but to the architect...

I could be totally wrong on this....

Maple's nice, but I'm an oak man. "Are you an oak man Jimmy???"
    "Oak is nice..."

    Pulp Fiction...

Seriously, very nice work!!! At first, I thought I was looking at an actual kitchen.

I agree. But...I suspect that may be on purpose, so that the cabinets can be seen, rather than be covered up by the table. The apartment is going to come with the cabinets, but not the table & chairs, so you need to have the cabinets showing. But you can't show a kithcen without the kitchen table, that would just look wrong to people, and subconcisously it will impact their impression of the image. So, put in a table, but make it small, and you satisfy both requirements. :)

    Dexter...

This is actually something I came up with for fun. The place where I got the furniture basically specializes in making tiny furniture to make rooms appear larger. The table and chairs are purposely smaller so that it makes the rest of the room larger and focuses on the cabinets.

    *Edit*

Took about three days to make.
