Help Requested - Virus related????
This is from someone on the Fender Forums. I have no clue, your diagnosis would be appreciated.
"I get on internet explorer and try to connect and I immediately get page can't be displayed. I go to outlook express and it brings up the connect ok and gets my mail ok. I go back to explorer and try to go to different sites and I still get page can't be displayed. I try to open mcaffee and I get" apllication or dll c:windows\system32\d3d8.dll is not a valid windows image. I try a game and get the same response-diff .dll but it's not a valid image. I tried system restore, same thing. Is this another visus or what? Any help is appreciated. I'm using xp cause I had problems with "me". "

File is part of DirectX. Maybe a bad Direct X update? Try updating direct X from a CD-installer, ie, download it on another computer and burn to CD, or find a graphics card install disk with a separate DirectX installer on it.
