9800 pro --> 9800XT
Supposedly a lot of the MSI and Sapphire cards are shipping with R360 cores underclocked and sold as 9800 Pros. All you need is the bios flash from what I gather if you have the correct core.
I'm not real up on this, I know I can get the card to XT speeds or better just OCin' it. I gathered the reason the flash was desireable is because it activates the XT features like the temp probe and overdrive function once the card is identified by the OS as an XT.
How much truth is there in it, I dunno. Anybody done it? And how do you get those stupid black pins to release the HS without killing them or the card?
