Easy Adware Question

Norton found a adware they called Adware.Binet and I want to delete a file found in c:\Documents and settings\Jack\Local Settings\Temp\biO.cab I have 3 .cab files to delete and the only options are copy and extract. I'm running xp home edition. Is there any way to get these? I tried safe mode and system restore off.

Click on them, hold shift and hit delete. See what happens.

Thanks but no luck. I'm in safe mode if that matters :)

Try normal mode, and use the disk cleanup feature of your hard drive. Open my computer, right click the hard drive, choos eproperties, and press Disk cleanup. It will clean temp files.

    See of that helps.

Dexter, That didn't get it either. I see a lot hits in google search for virus in .cab, but still no solutions on how to delete.

Try checking the Properties of the file to see if it is set for read-only. If it is, uncheck that, and try again to delete it.

    Dexter...

I tried all that already to no avail. It was in a directory with a little file cabinet for an icon and I was able to delete the directory with the 3 files inside. Only 2 of the files had been mentioned by Norton for deletion, but the third had a related looking name so it went too. It was all or none in there.
    Thanks for your help.
