.mov files into mpeg files - how?

Okay I don't know if this is the right thread, if not, someone could move it, but I am making a video on moviemaker and I was wondering how, if there is any possible way, to save a .mov file into an mpeg, or any kind of file that moviemaker would be able to support?

Please help? I would appreciate it muchos....
