What do you think guys? Clean Windows install today, so nows the time to make a change if I want to.

I already use TB at work with my POP accounts and Im do like it. It's fast and I love the account seperation :)

Outlook 2003 is very nicely done though.

Ahhh.. decisions, decisions. I don't PPC sync as it syncs at work with Exchange but I might need it someday in the near future, as circumstances change.

I swear by OL2003 - the junk mail filter is WAY better than Thunderbird's..... I use them both (Tbird at home, OL at work) and I just like OL2003 a lot more.

I installed OL in the end. But I had a major play around with it's configuration to make it work more how I like Thunderbird.. dividing incoming mails into certain things. while still being able to use the spam filter :)

You are right mate, Il keep TB for my POP @ work though :)

Outlook 2003 of course.... because then you get to run Disruptor OL

    http://disruptor.de

Without a doubt the best, most powerful antispam tool ever conceived. Even if you don't use any of the antispam feautres, which would be foolish, it has an amazingly powerful filter engine that eclipses the weak, useless native filter engine!

and by filter I mean the likes of "if subject contains 'flying donkey' move to 'explosive watermelons'" feature. Disruptor lets you search ANY meta property of a message, have expiring rules, chained rules, use regular expressions. I get a warm tingly feeling just thinking about the power that is mine. mwahaha

here are just some of the meta fields you can search

The toolbars are so simple even Aunt CluelessMgee can use the program

or horizontal toolbar for the ultra lazy

If you like tweaking you'll be in ecstasy and even if you don't it has an idiot mode for installation ease

For the utterly lazy here's a screen cap of features I just took

the message security features rock. My favorite is convert HTML to text -- I use this to manage email from idiot relatives who insist on sending markup crap. The filters let me nicify their message without marking it as spam. ;) But there's also several modes for supressing images in HTML, while retaining message formatting, ripping out attachments, disabling javascript, etc

If you prefer filters to bayesian for some reason you can jack filters from spampal's RegEx plugin -- they jack filters from SpamAssassin. If you really like CONTROL then you can enable "scoring". I don't go there, but you can I guess
