I do not know if this has happened to someone else, but I have seen it a couple times. It is like some posts get deleted sometimes. I just thought it was me going crazy, but I have seen it like 4 different times. Just wanted to see if someone else has saw this before.

I thought I saw one of my posts disappear a few days ago, but I think it was something I decided not to post, rather than it being deleted.

Can you be more specific? If you point to instances, I can tell you if the user deleted them or the staff dumped them.

//edit: Also moved to Feedback since Shorty might be interested.

//edit2: Wait, you mean posts specifically by you, Clutch? If that's the case then it isn't either of my above ideas, obviously.

//edit3: Now the best part would be if Clutch didn't see the "Moved" bit in the Pub and thought this post went missing as well ;D

Yeah I would need specific posts to be able to answer your question. I can tell you that I've only deleted one post in the last week, and haven't deleted a whole thread in quite a few days.

:banghead: I first didn't see the "moved" part and I was about to go crazy. I can't remember if they were just by me or by me and others. I think just by me.

That woulda been a great trick though... move it to a staff forum for a day and then return it ;D

Its happened to me too a few times on these forums. I know I make a post, or start a thread, and is desintegrates into cyberspace.

Were you certain the post registered and appeared in the thread?

A month ago I couldn't find everything I'd posted with the search tool, but it was still there.

Never experienced it and the moderation queue functions are disabled.

I think you guys need to get out more ;D

In all seriousness, we don't go round deleting posts and threads unless it's absolutely necessary. The deletion log is very small on these forums considering we have over 100,000 posts :)

If we get out more, then we have to make friends and interact with the public, and that just takes up to much time and effort, haha. I was just wondering if I was the only one that saw this.

I'm sure it regestered, and I always knew it wasn't anyone just deleting posts/threads without giving a reason. What I'm wondering is if it could be a flaw in VBB.

Basicly, I'd make a post (or two), watch it "post", leave, go to bed, whatever, I'd wake up/come back, and it would be gone.

    I think they are saying the machines are doing it. They suffer from mechanaphobia or compuphobia. This is a you mentioned "not getting out enough". Soon enough they will be spouting things like;

"Teh machines are taking over. We will all die."

    "I am de terminator."

    ;D;D;D
