2700+ Vs 3200+

edited August 2004 in Hardware
I currently have an AMD 2700+, I am upgrading my motherboard from a VIA chipset due to compatibilty problems. I am thinking of upgrading my processor also since I will have to take just about everything out anyway. Will I notice a huge difference between these two processors due to the FSB speed? My new mobo will be the NF7-S. I think the 2700 is 2.167ghz and the 3200+ is 2.20ghz.

No, you won't notice much of a difference at all.

I wasn't sure if the difference in FSB speed would matter. 2700+ is 333 and 3200+ is 400. The 3200+ is as high as the NF7-S can go correct?

The NF7-S can go to 24 x 250, provided you had the memory, chip and volt mods in place.

    I, personally, have 11 x 220 = 2.4GHz. The NF7 generally gets 215MHz on the FSB and 2.3-2.5GHz with a good chip.

LOL, if I think I know anything about computers I just have to come here for a lesson...I have no idea what that means.
