I think mark is definatley one of the top resources for Win XP/2000/NT info on the web. He is in the top handful anyway in my mind regarding XP internals. You can get a variety of interesting and unique utilities for free from his website including stuff like NTFS for DOS etc... tons of performance monitoring and process monitoring utilitys, defrag tools etc... for free. He also has some expensive system utilitys but there is a sh*tload of great and very detailed information available here. He has writen many articles on topics ranging from the differances between the XP and win2k kernals to the ntfs filesystem and defragging the windows XP memory management etc..
Check him out when you get a chance. Tex gives him a big two thumbs up! A must read type of guy, and I don't say that about many techie guys.
