Ok i'm working on my mom's office computer and i go to visual settings and i saw that the option for 1600x1200 was available and i was surprised because it was only a 17" lcd. So i selected it and the monitor said that option was not available. I tried just restarting and it will show the windows splash screen and all that but when it comes to windows it just says "Mode not supported". There are no monitors in the office that could support that resolution at the moment so i'm basicly screwed unless someone has some awesome idea on how to "reset cmos" of the monitor :wtf: .:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Specs:
Celeron 2.6
512 pc2100
Intel Extreme Graphics
MAG 17" LCD
WinXp Pro Corp

    1) Remove the video card (if it's not integrated) and then put it back in. Boot and see what happens.

    OR

    2) Find a monitor that supports 1600x1200, plug it in, then reset your resolution back down to what it was. Return the correct monitor.

Maybe catch me on AIM a little later tonight if those don't work...

Neither are options at the moment. I'm going to try to master doing this without a monitor so i can just do it with my keyboard and be set.

Hit F8, like you were going into Safe Mode.

    It's on the list.

    Good Luck!

yes I can't remember exactly when to press f8 ...it used to be when you see Starting Windows ....just reboot and try hitting f8 key randomly after the ram counts down.
let us know when you get it.

    ...think alike.

That "press the F8" biz seems to be very MB dependant.

I usually just hit the sucker like a big dog, and ignore any KB errors that come along.

Plus: I buy new Keyboards frequently...;D

Next time when you change the Res, leave it for 10 seconds and it will change itself back automatically......
