Best 512mb pc3200 for the money?

What's the cheapest, yet reliable, 512mb DDR pc3200 out there? I'm planning on getting two of them. I'd like to get a slight OC out of them, at least up to 220mhz, but the more the merrier.

I'll enjoy them now with my NF7, and I hope to throw them on a socket 939 board later this year :)

My Corsair Value got to 229, perfectly stable, but got errors in memtest...

I haven't done any overclocking but I've just installed and tested two sticks of Corsair Value at the exact specs you wanted-

I tested it overnight for about 8 hours with Memtest86+ on a loop, and it's been totally stable with no errors. It was also one of the cheapest RAM sticks around to boot. Give it a try!

Corsair XMS series. Preferrably of the XL sub-brand, since it's probably going to have the best chips.

The XMS is about $40 more per chip though. Are you sure I couldn't get a 10% overclock out of the value-priced Corsair?

(edited for wrong word. it was driving me nuts :D )

Considering it's waranteed up to (maybe even over) about 2.9 VMem, you'll probably get that much of an OC. Especially at TRAS 11.

I have had good luck with the 2 machines I have OCed with Corsair Value ram, I believe they were both above 220 without a problem.

I actually bought two 512 sticks of Crucial PC3200. They're not overclocked, but stable. Fairly priced as well.

I think that maybe now I would have gone for the Corsair Value, have read lots of good things about it.

What timings can you get out of this corsair value pc3200? I'm looking to get 2x256 to upgrade my 1x256 crucial pc2100. The only issue is that I'm running that ram at pc3200 2-3-2-5. It would really tick me off to spend $100 and have to bump my timings to 2-3-3-8 or something. I would want it to run at pc3200 but I would really hope to get 2-2-2-5.

I ended up buying 2x512mb pc3200 Corsair Value, but I haven't messed with the timings yet. I probably will sometime this week and I'll let you know.
