sata hdd caddies

hi ppl
can you get these?
if so im right in saying that sata you can hot swap ,if i got 1 could i use it internally (sorry forgot to mention i wanted internal) i could transfer my data to hdd and remove once full.
also if you can get any preferance had a look about but cant see any here in uk ,

    Startech lists a couple of European resellers and they do make the removable SATA caddies. They do not however make mention of it being hot swap.

    They used to be really common, those swappable hard disk caddies, I'm still using three on a machine I use for checking out Linux distros and Win98 for old games.

    I haven't seen them about lately though, and I've never seen a SATA caddy, but that link above looks promising.

    As for hot swapping SATA drives, I think that can only be used where the HDD's hold data, not OS's. I mean, can you imagine pulling out a disk running Win XP then slamming in another one with Slackware 10 on it? It just wouldn't work, would it? ;)
