    Specs from steves-digicam.com
Memory Stick and Memory Stick Pro (tested up to 1GB, does not support high speed transfer function; does not support Access Control security function)

Well, the regular Memory Sticks has a size limitation of 128MB. If you want to get a regular 256MB Memory Stick, it is essentially 2 128MB Memory Sticks in 1 package. There is a switch on the Memory Stick that switches between bank A and B. The newer models of Memory Sticks such as Pro doesn't have the 128MB limitation.

If a regular 256MB Memory Stick is cheaper and you aren't bothered with the A-B switch on a regular, then get that. If you don't want to bother with the switch, get the Memory Stick Pro.

//Edit: Looking at Sony's website, the 128MB x 2 Memory Stick is $99USD. The 256MB Memory Stick Pro is $89. I think the Memory Stick Pro is the way to go.

Since your camera supports Memory Stick Pro, it should work. The review for your camera at steves-digicams.com has a 16MB Memory Stick Pro included in the package.

Memory stick pro also has a faster write time than the normal version. So, if you were to buy a new unit from sony/samsung, then you can use the pro for the newer features.
