After running updated versions of Spybot S&d, AdAware, Bazooka and HJT,on GHoosdum's advice I'm posting my log. I cannot access either Regedit or task manager and my computer at times runs very, very slowly. Thanks in advance for any help!

Sorry to have taken so long to respond, real life has been busy :)

Not being able to access Regedit or Task Manager is a pretty sure sign of a trojan. Sometimes they even disable the shutdown, so your computer stays active for the intruder's uses. Often, things like Regedit blocks can be gotten around by making a copy of regedit, pasting it to any folder besides your system folder, and renamign it completely, eg: "hahahaha.exe." Then launch it, and often it will work fine. But, HJT also acts as a min-regedit, as you can remove any startup entries with it. Let's start there....but first....

Please make sure that HijackThis.exe is in its own folder (eg: c:\hijackthis or C:\HJT). When you use HijackThis to remove unwanted items, it creates backup files. If you ever mistakenly remove an item that you later discover you need, you can recover these items from the backup file. Having HijackThis.exe in its own folder gives these backup files a safe place to reside, and reduces clutter on your Desktop or My Documents folder.

Set your syetem to Show Hidden Files and Folders. Then Disable System Restore.[url] Note that both of those posts contain follow up instructions that you need to do after we determine your problem is gone.

Reboot in SAFE MODE. Run HJT. FIX:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [avexkcu] C:\WINDOWSX\System32\kkgoyh.exe

(FYI - programs like WeatherBug are known to contain adware. They are "FREE!"...but the real cost is sluggish PC performance as they monitor evey site you visit and try to send you advertising. Programs like MemTurbo, download accelerators, Interenet optimizers, etc, are BS. You can't speed RAM up with software, software slows RAM down. Kill it, you are just wasting resources and likely exposing yourself to adware.)

Stay in SAFE MODE. Locate the exe files in the entries above and quarantine them.

Reboot normally, check things out, and come back to let us know, post a fresh log for review.
