Help! Internet explorer on my dad's computer is screwed up. If you double click on the Iexplore icon on the desktop (you all know the one), it will give u a "Page cannot be displayed" page on the homepage (which is msn.com). No matter what website you go to, it will say the page cannot be displayed.

The strange thing is it IS connected to the internet. We can browse pages fine if we do the following:

1) Go to any folder
2) Go the the address bar
3) Type in websites like normal

So we do have internet connection, but surfing sites from the Internet Explorer window doesn't work. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

NOTE: We tried to reinstall IE6, didn't fly.

Here it is. I cant get rid of the winlogon.exe, but that isn't the problem, because we've had it for a few months.

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [updater] C:\Program Files\Common files\updater\wupdater.exe
    O4 - Global Startup: winlogin.exe

Those 2 entries are problems, reboot in safe mode and fix them, and do a full virus scan in safe mode (update defs before going to safe mode.)
