CoD anyone?

Firstly, who plays CoD multiplayer regulary? I may see about setting up a match for a headquarters game.

Secondly, I've just had a game, it's early so there was only me on the server for a while. Then this guy joined and straight away was asking me for my CD key 'so he could install the single player game'! I politely refused but he kept on begging for it. I pointed out that he needed a key to play multiplayer so use that. "It won't work bothered, please, only to install it then I'll forget it" Then he went on to say he had phoned the manufacturer and they told him to ask other players for their keys! yeah, right. It was quite funny really.

I play CoD regularly online, my handle is Slippery.

Only prob is if I play on punk-buster enabled servers I either get an instant BSOD or get kicked after a certain time for 'failure to init pb'.

I've raised the issue over at the punksbusted Forum, have tried all their suggestions, all to no avail. And no, I don't cheat ;) Even tried a new copy of the game, no good.

So, if you start a server, I can only play if PB is disabled, sad to say.

I used to get the same thing. I can't remember 100% what the fix was but I think it needed a firmware update for my router, Linksys.

Really? Sounds hopeful, I'll give that a go. Thanks :)

    Using a Linksys BFSR41 here.

I play religiously at 69.93.51.186:28960 the 3rd ID Headquarters. They play a tight realism server, friendly fire, nade priming, PRM mod, upped the damage of the M1A1 Carbine to a realistic rate. They usually play a mix of headquarters and search & destroy. There is always an admin on, so you never need to worry about TKers and such.

Added to favourites but there's no game going on at the moment. I may see you there sometime.

I'd be worried about your ping though, the server is Dallas based.

I play regularly on a couple of Dallas servers, ping of around 140. And I'm in SE London, UK. It does put me at a slight disadvantage, but not by much.

Haha, Jimborae and I have crossed swords a coupla times on some servers, but he ain't as good as me :D Who wants to see some screen shots with me at the top of the tree? I got a million folks...

    What? Who's a braggart? Moi?

And getting back to my punkbuster problem, I just remembered, I bypassed the router and it didn't improve matters :( So I don't know what the prob is. Seriously considering a fresh install to see if that helps, I have a software problem somewhere I reckon.
