Compaq Presario 6000 Audio Drivers

Looked all over Google and all of the drivers found there don't seem to get the job done. Any idea of what I could do to get the sound back on this board? The sound is built in and there is no discernable make/model on the MOBO. ANy help would be appreciated. :banghead:

It's a long list. The model number should be somewhere on the case. On old Presarios, I've seen the model number printed on the front or a sticker on the side panel.

If you can't find it, the last resort would be using the restore CD.

Press CTRL > ALT > S or Start > All Programs > Compaq > Compaq pc tools > Compaq Support Information.

It should bring up all your comp info.

Did you find what you were looking for?? I'm having that same search at the moment..... and am having little... okay fine, no luck. :banghead:

As I already mentioned in your other thread...
1. Go here:
http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html
2. Click Drivers and Software
3. Click Detect Your Product
4. Select your OS
5. Download and install the sound driver
