Hey guys....

I have a customers PC that I have finished and returned to them. They call and claim that the system won't turn on. No fans, no lights, nothing. I go through the normal stuff.... Power supply switch, plugged into an outlet, the outlet live, they pushing the correct button.... OK, still nothing.

They dropped off the system and they are right, it won't power on??? I unplug the power from the mother board and plug in my PSU tester and it has power. Hmmmm... I manually try "shorting" the power on leads and nothing.... I then started to check how tight the screws that attach the mother board and the case... Power comes on????

OK, I totally remove the board and reinsert it... WORKS!!!! I jostle the system around and it's dead again. Push on the mother board and it turns on, stop pushing, power cuts out.... ????

I'm stumped.... Shorting somewhere but how have you guys fixed this.

NEVERMIND.... Found one screw that was causing problems... not sure why but I took it out and beat the system and it still worked. Put the screw in and the system failed.

I'd like to thank Spinner for these sage words....
