Spyware is slowing things down!

I got infected with some sort of spyware/adware and it became REALLY hard to use my computer... This thing is really slowing things down, even typing this thread isn't going with 'delay'. WHAT is this thing doing? And how can I get rid of it? My HJT log is below:

I just figured something out: IR.exe is the program that slows things down... But when I place it in quarantaine and reboot, it keeps coming back!!!

Did you follow these steps first?

Then, read the Home Search Assistant Removal Guide

    Then post a new log.

Ok, I did that, didn't help at all, that slowing-down process-thing is still there... I ran every anti-spyware program I could find, nothing worked, this thing keeps coming back!!! Here's my HJT log again:

Okay, are you sure you did every step in the HSA removal guide? including the hard shutdown part?

You need to get rid of the following entries:

Also, you can hit CTRL-ALT-DEL to bring up the task list, and kill the ir.exe process and see if you can run in to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM fast enough to delete it before it starts up again.

This is driving me INSANE!!! This IR.EXE thing keeps coming back! Everything else seems o.k. now.

    Here's what happens:

    1) I kill the process IR.exe
    2) I delete the file
    3) Everything seems o.k.
    4) I reboot
    5) I see a window appearing (and disappearing REAL fast)
    6) Everything is in turtle-mode
    7) Untill I begin with step 1 again...

Here's my HJT log, I cannot find anything that doesn't belong there, except for the 'trusted zone' thingy's, they keep re-appearing too (are they somehow connected with IR.exe?????)...

Do you by chance have Happauge Win TV card? IR.exe is a file associated with those cards.

As for your spyware problem, I believe that this is the problem file:
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\TWINK64.EXE

So, here is what you need to do....

Set your system to Show Hidden Files and folders.

    Reboot into Safe Mode.

Run Hijack This. FIX THE FOLLOWING:

    **************
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ControlPanel] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\twink64.exe internat.dll,LoadKeyboardProfile

    O15 - Trusted Zone: *.searchmeup.cc
    O15 - Trusted Zone: *.searchmiracle.com
    O15 - Trusted Zone: *.searchbarcash.com
    O15 - Trusted Zone: *.skoobidoo.com
    O15 - Trusted Zone: *.my-internet.info
    O15 - Trusted Zone: *.xxxtoolbar.com
    O15 - Trusted Zone: *.slotch.com
    O15 - Trusted Zone: *.flingstone.com
    O15 - Trusted Zone: *.mt-download.com
    O15 - Trusted Zone: *.blazefind.com
    O15 - Trusted Zone: *.clickspring.net

    **************

Stay in Safe mode, manually locate the twink64.exe and quarantine it.

Reboot normally, check things out, and come back to let us know how it turned out. Post a fresh HJT log for review.

While you are waiting for the next reply, please read our article on Defeating Spyware for tips on how to improve your Internet Explorer security, or to learn how to switch to a different browser. For more general information about spyware read this page.
