I have 4 clients that finished WU's and can't send results or get new work. I found this at the community forums http://forum.folding-community.org/viewtopic.php?t=9244

I was just going to post about this. Here is what Vijay has to say about what's happening:
The University is suffering a major network outtage. There is nothing my team can do about it and the University's IT team is on it. From the looks of things, it looks like a DOS attack, since networking attempts go through, just very, very slowly. It looks like the servers are loaded, but that's only because they have to keep lots of sockets open to deal with the very slow connections.

I unfortunately do not have any ETA on when they will fix it. I'll post more info here (the forum) as we know more about it.

This post is located in the thread here at the community forums. .

I wondered what was going on. The client was getting 503 for a status.

Getting 503 errors here as well.

At least they are having a go at fixing the network.

I wouldn't expect results until early next week ...it's the weekend there too!
Hopefully they can get it fixed bright and early monday morning ...I think they are 2 hours behind us in time difference so maybe close to noon here.

/edit: everything has sent that I've tried so far ...maybe I got a good server.

    To quote Dr Vijay Pande.

It looks like things settled down well. The new AS balancing mods were designed for such scenarios and I'm glad (like a proud dad ) that the AS did well in getting the servers back in line. While I don't like net outtages, it's nice to know that the AS can do reasonably well.
