Befuddled...

Girlfriend calls me up with a computer problem...

Seems in the most typically "I have no idea" way her pc decided it doesn't want to boot to windows any longer.

Now it gets weird.

It takes me to the SAFE mode menu (safe mode, safe mode w/networking, safe mode with command prompt, last known good configuration, supersized safe mode which comes with a lrg fries and coke)

Regardless of which one I choose the status bar fills up and it reboots.

...taking me right back to the safe mode menu.

Help?

Please?

Fold on.

I'd try a repair install (assuming we're talking about Windows XP. She won't lose anything, and the only thing needing a reinstall would be Windows Updates.

I'm sorry, I should know better.

    'tis XP Pro, sp1.

I'll start swapping out each of those components when I get home.

    Thanks guys.
