good site blocker?

I used to have the previous verious of popup cop (popup popper i think it used to be called 4 years go). It blocked popups based on a list of websites that you could update off the server. The program is gone now and popup cop uses differents means to stop popups, it blocks any windows that comes up like all popup blockers now a days. So I have two questions:

1.) Is there a popup blocker that is based off of blocking sites from a list that you can update and you don't have to buy? (i'm not neseccarily against buying but most you have to buy are just annoying with too many unnesecary features and bugs and bad graphics)

Right now i'm using Blockpost plugin for Agnitum Outpost firewall. Its working pretty well. The only down part is adding sites to the block list. I wish it had something convenient like having the ability to click off a list of windows of IE i already have up that i can choose which sites to block. So that leads me to

2.) Is there a firewall or popup blocker program that easily lets you choose from the IE windows you have already up to choose which sites to block?

I hope i wasn't too confusing

I find google toolbar and a browser extension (Thing) called MyIE2 to have the best popup blockers.

That's what I was going to say, BH.... With firefox, you don't need to worry about all these different 3rd party popup blockers.

If you're ABSOLUTELY married to IE, and you are using Windows XP, I think Service Pack 2 has pop up blocking integrated into IE.

then install SP2 for windows xp and you'll have a built in pop up blocker. you can specify which sites you want to allow pop ups from.
