Hello, First I woul like to say Thank you specially to Dexter. After some time (hours actually) it seem I got rid of the "thing". However I am keen it might come back since during the process, following the guide, I did find two problems:

I use Windows ME. Step 4: The "Services.msc" just doesn´t work, it says the file does not exist, so I had to skip it.

Then, in the Regedit, I did not find any of the entries, furthermore, there is no "Local Machine\System\current control set\ENUM\ROOT

So, my question is, do I have to worry about it?

    Hi again, I forgot to mention that I also downloaded the get active services, but it doesn´t come up with a single line.

    Sounds okay. We are revising the guide to include Windows 95/98/ME since they don't have services.
