Dso Exploit?????

HEllo, I have been at this all night, could someone please help???? pop-up keep on coming up when i use IE, also everytime I use adware or spybot it finds the same files. i used adware, spyboot and this is my new log, I still cannot get rid of DSO EXPLOIT, ezula, and virtumundo Iwas in safe mode here is current HJT log. Once I delete the "bad" files and I run the adware... spybot again the same stuff is on the computer. then when I come back to normal mode everything is back on my computer. I just want to get rid of this stuff, if I am going to have to re-boot my cp please tell me I wouyld like to do it sooner then later. thank you :bawling: I just found another, using sby bot and it keeps coming back, it is called SEARCH FORLT, it is a key or something it says, I do not know what this means either, help is more then welcomed

First, please do not start 2 threads for the same problem. It makes our work here twice as hard. I have deleted your other thread, DO NOT START A NEW ONE FOR THIS SAME PROBLEM.

Second, please be patient. There are dozens of people a day who ask for help. There are only a few of us here who volunteer our time to help people. Those of us who do help do this as a hobby...after we do the more important things in our lives like be with our families, go to work or school, eat, sleep and have some fun. Now, looking at that log, I see nothing bad.

The DSO EXPLOIT is a bit of a bug in Spybot. You need to make sure that you have been doing regular Windows Updates to get patches which fix the *potential* problems those are reporting. According to your log, you hve not been doing those. So, you should upgrade to Windows XP Service Pack 2 immediately. SP2 introduces some security features to help protect you from unwanted downloads in Internet Explorer. Upgrade to XP Service Pack 2 here, courtesy of Short-Media's downloads section. Once you have done that, make sure to enable Automatic Updates, which will be activated by default. Then you can just ignore the DSO exploits, because they will not be a problem even though Spybot still reports them.

The other items that appear do not show in your HJT log. You likely have Reg Keys or files on your computer that are left over from the infections. Post a new HJT log in Normal Mode and we'll double check.

Thank you Dexter, I am sorry for the double post, i wanted to put up a new log because on the first post I did not use any of the anti-spyware, like adware and spy bot, sorry. I am dowloading the xp update right now, thanks again for helping me out. this is a really cool thing (and site) you guys/ and ladies are doing for people out there that have computer troubles, for that reason I downloaded that fold thing for research, I think that whole thing is also awsome and finally people are doing things to use their computers for the betterment of everyone else, SO THANK YOU ALL AT SHORT-MEDIA.
