Is this problem from overclocking my video card?

I've been playing the WoW stress test this week. I leave the FPS counter on most of the time and twice yesterday i noticed my fps slowly dropping from about 70 fps all the way down to 3 fps when there was nothing special going on on the screen.

My first instinct is that my overclocked video card was overheating or something. Is this a symptom over an overheating video card?

    I think the latest version of ATI Tool has a temp printout on it.

    That could also be lag as well.

    Well it definately wasn't server lag. I've never heard of server lag causing a drop in frame rate.

    It wasn't a normal type of frame rate drop. Something was definately wrong. I can tell if there's something happening on screen for there to be a normal drop in framerate (complex effects or large number of characters). It was if something was happening to my system and the fact that it happened so gradually and go sooo low (2.8 fps) made me suspect something physical like heat.

    I do't think it's due to heating prob.
