ok i rebooted into safe mode, and when i clicked on MS-DOS Prompt nothing happened,
and there wasnt an option to boot into "command Prompt" when i pressed f8 while rebooting. i also tried typin msdosprmpt into run and nothing happened there either.
i dont think that i am using HJT correctly. i clicked on the items that i wanted to delete, and made the chackmark appear next to the name, then i click "fix checked", but then when i scan again, these items are still there. i dont know if they are suppose to come up or not, thanks for the help!!
okay, forget that. Go to bootdisk.com, and get a boot disk maker. Make a boot disk, and then follow the instructions I gave you to get into the command prompt and then get rid of those things. This has been going on so long I forgot where we were

Get a windows ME boot disk, and make the bootable floppy from it. Boot off of that floppy and you will be in a command prompt, for sure.

Insert a blank floppy and run the program. It will make the disk for you.
