New to Firefox

A couple of days ago, I switched over to Firefox. I'm still getting used to it, but so far, I do like it. But I do have an issue....
I have my Favorites in my Start menu. Now whenever I try to open one of my bookmarks, I get this error sign. Then Firefox opens it.
I don't get this if I try to open Favorites, from Firefox.
I take it, it's IE trying to open favoites, that have been importated to Firefox.
Can anybody tell me how to get rid of this warning?
Thanks for your help;
Dragstk

try exporting your booksmarks then deleate them

then import them from the file you exported them to

BTW what version of firefox are you running?

It's not just Short-Media. It's any link that isn't opened from within firefox. I usually go to run and type in http://MyRoutersIP to get to my router config, but I get that error and Firefox still shows the link. It's a minor annoyance. Nothing more.

It's a FireFox vs Windows bug. Report it in to BugZilla ;)

I am running the latest version of Firefox (.9, I think).
I tried your idea, gibbonsl, but all it does is export an HTML file.
So, shorty, is this something that we just have to live with until a work around is made?
    Thanks for your efforts

I get the same exact thing when I save a website to an Icon on my desktop, and launch the site using the icon. The site comes up fine, but I get that message along with it.

FWIW, I don't have the problem but I also would like to know what's causing it.

Well, I found at 1 cure for this error window
Update to Firefox 1.0. Pretty simple!
Some of the extentions don't work with 1.0 yet, but I'm sure some will be written up. And to be honest, it does seem to run a little slower than the last version. But all in all, I'm pretty happy with it.
Now If I could just say the same for Thunderbird :skeptic:
