someone please help me get rid of this offeroptimizer pop-up

it keeps popping up and shows up on my taskbar but no physical window shows up.. it's sooo annoying! spybot search and destroy didn't detect it.. neither did adaware.. it also bypasses my windows xp pop-up disabler thingiemabobber...

Before doing the following, please Set your computer to show hidden files and folders, Disable System Restore, and Reboot in Safe Mode.

Once you have done that, Run HijackThis and have it fix the following:

Then find and locate the files listed above and Quarentine Them.

Once you have done that, reboot, scan with HijackThis again, and post a new log.

i rebooted.. and normally when it starts.. i get the pop-ups.. but so far.. NONE! -fingers crossed- hope this does it.. thanks

Viewpoint contains some tracking information, and is considered spyware by some. If you do not use it, fix that entry then find and delete the folder Viewpoint from C:\Program Files\
